On Tuesday 26th November, Cadder Community Centre hosted the 2nd Disability group pilot event.
This week, we had Include Me 2 Club hosting the event in which they delivered a presentation about their amazing services for disabled people in the morning followed by arts and crafts activities, bingo, card games, music, karaoke and disco in the afternoon. A free lunch was also provided by Cadder Community Centre for all people involved.
Once again, this event was extremely positive in helping reduce isolation and providing a safe space where disabled adults can come together to socialise, have fun and give their opinion on the design of the new group. Big thank you to Paul and volunteer Wesley from Include Me 2 Club for providing excellent information on relevant services for local people in the Glasgow area and for facilitating a very entertaining day full of fun and laughter. This event could not have taken place without the funding awarded through Thriving Places.
Shannon, Cadder Community Centre Team Leader, was yet again very pleased with this event and hopes to offer similar events for local people in the near future that are inclusive, supportive and great fun.
